Casa Carma is a heartfelt family project. At the end of 2020, we decided to sell our company and spend a year in Gennadi — a year that changed us more than we expected. During this time, we came across an old, beautifully weathered house in Lachania. The moment we stood in front of it, we knew: this house has a story, and we want to become a part of it. So we chose to bring it gently back to life — and to begin our first Airbnb project.
CARMA is made up of the first letters of our names — Carmen, Carlotta, Mario and Matteo — and at the same time it is the Portuguese word for “karma.” A fitting image for what we wish this place to be: somewhere life feels easy, inspiring, warm and a little magical.
We hope that Casa Carma gives you exactly that — moments that feel good, time that lingers, and perhaps the same love for Rhodes that we found here.
